SEPTEMBER LIBRARY NEWS

It has been an exciting month at the Longton Library and we are expecting even more fun starting in September.

PARENTS

All parents of young children need to mark their calendar for Saturday, September 19th for our new Story Hour, we will be reading to children ages 3 through Kindergarten from 10 AM to 11 AM.  Snacks will also be provided.  Bring your wee ones down to hear some great stories!

NEW BOOKS

We have a LOT of books that were donated to the library in August, so make sure you come check out our new books section as we will be rotating in the new ones.  Also remember, if we don’t have a book or author you are looking for WE CAN GET IT – ask us about the interlibrary loan – we will be glad to assist you.

JOB SEEKING AND RESUME SERVICES

Also – if you are a job seeker, as so many are these days, we have a listing of Job Search Sites posted throughout the library.  We are also offering job search assistance, including preparing your resume on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM to noon.  If you need help in job searching or resume preparation and cannot make it at these times, please give Jolie a call at 642-6012 and we will be happy to set a time that is more convenient for you.

NEW HOURS STARTING IN SEPTEMBER:

Monday – Friday every week 10 AM to noon & 1 PM to 5 PM

We will also start being open every other Saturday morning and every other Wednesday Evening.  This month those dates are as follows:

Open 9 AM – 1 PM on Saturday, September 5th & Saturday, September 19th

Open until 7 PM on Wednesday, September 9th and Wednesday, September 23rd.

We will be closed all day on September 24th for an out of town in service workshop.

Hopefully this will help our patrons that can’t always come visit us during the week daytime hours.  Come check out what the library can do for you!  We look forward to seeing you!
