What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Happening At The Longton Public Library<\/p>\n
It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been another busy month at the Longton Public Library.\u00c2\u00a0 This month we have elected three new board members, Kay Miller, Kathy Ferguson and J.R. Ferguson.\u00c2\u00a0 We are excited to have them join us and hope to continue making our services to the community even better.<\/p>\n
We are hosting a TEEN MOVIE NIGHT on October 13th in the school board room.\u00c2\u00a0 This movie is free and open to all kids 13 – 19 years old.\u00c2\u00a0 The movie has yet to be decided yet, but we will have flyers up soon.\u00c2\u00a0 Make plans to be there – it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be a great night.\u00c2\u00a0 Teen Read Week is the week of October 18th – 24th, come see what books we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve got – we have a bunch of new ones, including some new Stephen King.\u00c2\u00a0 We also have \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Hunger Games\u00e2\u20ac\u009d – I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve heard this is a great one!\u00c2\u00a0 And come check out our growing DVD collection!<\/p>\n
We would like to extend a special thanks to our volunteers, Chris Beougher, Jalie Wallace and Robert Walker have all been a big help!<\/p>\n
Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t forget we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month, with STORY HOUR on the third Saturday from 10-11 AM.\u00c2\u00a0 Come meet Mr. Bear this month and here about how he finds \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Peace At Last\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re also open on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday until 7 PM for those that can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t come in during regular hours.<\/p>\n
